So my province is Newfoundland and Labrador. I chose this photo because of a multitude of reasons. First off, I knew Newfoundland and Labrador was a coastal territory so that's why I went with a beach picture. It's not the typical beach though, it's cold. Since Newfoundland's farther up north, it's definitely a colder beach.
I also picked this picture because of the geographical and climate aspects of Newfoundland and Labrador. Newfoundland and Labrador make up the eastern part of the Canadian Shield, which is an area of metamorphic rock. The metamorphic rock is caused by colliding tectonics. In the picture, it's clear that it is a rocky setting so I feel like that exemplifies Newfoundland and Labrador.
Another reason why I picked it is because of the climate. In Newfoundland and Labrador, the climate varies. Newfoundland usually has a cool summer subtype of a humid continental climate. This weather is exemplified by Scarlett's dress. It's flowy but it's inbetween summer and fall.
Since it's near the ocean, the weather varies. Because it's near the ocean, there's greater humidity, lower visibility, more clouds, less sunshine, and higher winds. In this picture, the more clouds and less sunshine bit is definitely true. The low visibility is true because Scarlett is slightly squinting.
So yeah I tried to pull in the aspects of the geography and climate of Newfoundland and Labrador while still looking fierce. This picture is very Newfoundland and Labrador while still looking like a model. So I hope you judges like it!!!
